How much wealth would it take to break your spiritual bank?

Dear friend,

How much wealth would it take to break your spiritual bank?

How much personal wealth would you be able to handle—without sinning?

This is worth considering since most want to grow our financial assets.

Just between you and God (nobody’s listening), how much money would it take…

…before pride ruins everything?

…before sinful desires gain a foothold?

…before confidence turns to arrogance?

…before the false god of self-sufficiency reigns?

Hear me: Money is not the enemy—or doesn’t have to be. Some Christians easily manage millions and retain humility and spiritual financial obedience as God requires. They are able to retain both financial and spiritual wealth. In contrast, others fare poorly even with an extra $100 bill.

The good news is that your spiritual capacity to carry wealth can be increased. It’s not too late to develop the biblical financial skills and spiritual mindset to grow wealth that can be blessed, not cursed.

And that’s why I’m here. To help you build spiritual wealth muscles. To help you reach your highest ordained financial potential—in Christ.

When I began my career as a financial advisor thirty-five years ago, my view was too narrow. I had only one priority: protecting my clients from the kind of devastating financial loss my family sustained when I was a little child. That was the single passion that drove me to work so hard at the time.

Behind my smiling, calm office demeanor hid a fearful, Sylvester Stallone-type warrior in high heels, hyper-vigilant, armed with every device I could carry to block the doorway between my clients and financial poverty.

But over time, I saw something that shocked and frightened me more. I discovered that material wealth was not my clients’ only vulnerable asset that urgently needed protecting.

Several dear and wealthy clients suffered a far worse poverty than financial: they had spiritual impoverishment. Financially rich—but spiritually bankrupt. Terrifying.

When did this spiritual bankruptcy begin, I wondered?

Did the money cause it? Or did the money reveal it? I cried for them. I prayed for them. I still do.

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?” Matthew 16:26 ESV

Your soul is the single most important asset to protect. Even more than money.

Together, let’s grow strong and secure in Christ, spiritually rooted and secure, so that the wealth you work so hard to earn will not have the power to harm you—but provide an even greater means to joyfully serve the Lord you love.
