Does FINANCIAL UNHAPPINESS have you in its grip?
Be cured! Start today!
You might be surprised at how many people, rich and poor, suffer unnecessarily from this chronic malady. Symptoms include… anxiety, tension, frustration, fear, indecision, sleeplessness, anger, bad moods, and even self-doubt.
God has not called you to financial unhappiness. You can jump the tracks of financial despair and get on God’s path of contentment in your financial life.
But how can I find contentment in my particular financial situation?
If you are in a very tight financial situation, contentment does not mean remaining stuck, nor accepting your present as “destiny” (it isn’t). Dig out in confidence, God’s way. Your path forward is to actively seek Biblical financial wisdom (perhaps delivered via Compass Financial Ministries?), to trust the Lord to deliver you out of your circumstances, and to find hope in God’s miraculous ability to provide for you. Throughout your financial storm, give generously to Kingdom causes from the “first-fruit” of your earnings (however small), as a deliberate, disciplined act of worship, praise, and trust.
If you are rich, or in a season of financial abundance, no need to grasp tightly or be anxious about possible future loss. Without God’s permission, no amount of talent or hard work on your part would have resulted in profit anyway. Scripture says it this way:
“You may say to yourself, ‘My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.’ But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth…” Deuteronomy 8:17-18a NIV.
Your income reflects His provision, so you can relax. He owns all the wealth in the land and has decided to allocate some to you. Your path forward is to trust the LORD, not the money, to depend only on Him, not on your financial statement. Demonstrate extreme generosity, as a steward, not owner, of all He has ordained to pass through your hands.
From this day forward, to cure financial unhappiness and anxiety, let your financial posture be this:
Hands wide open, not grasping;
Ears inclined toward the whisper of the Holy Spirit, not toward the blare of godless advertisers seeking to empty your wallet and drain your wealth via products that never satisfy.
Whether rich or poor, financial unhappiness is not your destiny – merely a deceitful detour from God’s good plan for your life. God has not called you to financial unhappiness, but to financial wholeness, rightness, wisdom, stewardship, and trust. When these are fully operational in your life, you can finally experience financial happiness and contentment, which is God’s will for your life and mine.
